Why did the Industrial Revolution happen?
1 Answer
Mechanization of previously hand done tasks.
Explanation:
One of the best examples of the industrial revolution is the evolution of the spinning of yarn and weaving of fabrics from the houses of thousands of individuals and with the invention of spinning and weaving machines. The invention of these machines not only sped up the process but greatly improved the final product.
Textiles were probably the first of many industrial advances. The production of shoes was limited to very small businesses until the middle of the 19th century. Iron and steel manufacture moved from small mills to enormous factories. And the mills and factories built in the 1840s and 1850s were all being replaced by far larger factories by the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Advances in communications and transportation also spurred the development, as well as the shift from wood, to coal, to oil and electricity.
