Why can the samples of platinum and copper have the same extensive properties but not the same intensive properties?

I have always considered #"extensive properties"# as depending on the #"extent"# of the material...........

Explanation:

And thus a lump or copper and a lump of platinum could have the same mass, volume, or molar quantity (of course, not at the same time), because all of these properties depend on the extent of the material.

On the other hand, these metals will have different #"intensive properties"#, i.e. molar mass, melting points, density, electrical conductivity, etc. which depend on the make-up or composition of the material.
