In the words of astronaut David H. levy, the galaxies are stretching out without end . Copernicus gave the principle that there is no preferred space in universe. Definitions are relative.
Explanation:
Any space body or system of bodies is defined by relating to the surrounding space objects/systems. Only after consensus on an absolute frame of reference, we could possibly make statements on Milky Way;s place in universe.
