What started abiogenesis?

We don't know.

Explanation:

Abiogenesis is the unproven idea that life started from inanimate matter. The way the idea sits right now is that the elements in the early Earth reacted with one another by chance eventually creating a molecule that could "consume" other molecules and replicate itself.

As of now, however we have no idea what are all the necessary elements or what reactions are required for this process. So the best answer (and one that is totally acceptable in science) is: We don`t know.
