All probabilities exist on a continuum from 0 to 1. 0 is an impossible event and 1 is a certain event.

Some properties of probabilities are that the probability of an event NOT happening is equal to 1 minus the probability of the event happening.

Because the entire frequency distribution contains ALL of the possible outcomes, the probability of the event being within that frequency distribution is certain, or 1.
