thermodynamic equilibrium is the conceptual state in which system(s) are of the same heat throughout, and no heat is transferred at all.

Explanation:

when there is any difference in heat, heat will flow from the hotter region to the colder region.
When 2 systems connected with wall that is only permeable to heat, and no heat flow occurs at all between them, then they are in thermal equilibrium. The same works for more systems.
When the system itself is in thermal equilibrium, the heat is the same throughout: the temperature is the same everywhere in the system, and no heat flows from one place to another.
