The Contitution exists as a whole document and no one part of it is more important than the rest.
Explanation:
People swear an oath to uphold the Constitution. That means all of it not just the bits you feel are important. The collective nature of the document is why it can be used to govern the country. Certainly there are important parts for given situations but the collective whole is the thing that makes it work.
Right now Freedom of the Press is a big issue. Its certainly a part of the Constitution but is it the most important part? The society of people in a country is a complex thing that needs a reminder of the basic rules that established it. Those rules develop over time and ideally hold a collective wisdom of a country.
