What is the equation of the line between #(5,13)# and #(-1,3)#?

the equation of a line passing through 2 points #(x_1,y_1),(x_2,y_2)# is given as:

#y-y_1=m(x-x_1)#

#and m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)# called the slope of the line

therefore putting the given points in the above equation we end up getting:
#m=(3-13)/(-1-5)=5/3#

#y-13=(5/3)x-5#

#5x-3y+14=0#
