The domain for f(x) = 3x - 1 is all real numbers.

The domain of a function is the set of input for a function, here f(x), for which the function has a value. For any real numbers you plug into x, the function f(x) will produce a value.

Examples:

f(0) = 3(0) - 1 = 0
f(5) = 3(5) - 1 = 14
f(71) = 3(71) - 1 = 212
