What is exponential growth?

It is any growth function `f` which grows exponentially with time `t` according to an equation which may be written in the form

`f(t)=Ae^(bt)` , where `A,b in (1;oo)`

It must be noted that `lim_(t->oo)f(t)=oo`, as can be seen from the general shape of such an exponential graph.
