There are two types of errors in statistical testing (while completing hypothesis testing):

a. A researcher rejects $H_{0}$ $H_0$ although $H_{0}$ $H_0$ is correct. This is called Type I error.

b. A researcher accepts $H_{0}$ $H_0$ despite the fact that $H_{0}$ $H_0$ is false. This type of error is called Type II error.

$H_{0}$ $H_0$ is called the null hypothesis.
