See [here.](https://socratic.org/questions/what-is-the-conjugate-base-of-hso-4#276790)

Explanation:

The conjugate base of any acid is the initial acid HX LESS a proton, H+ to give X.

The conjugate acid of any base is the initial base X PLUS a proton, H+ to give HX.

AS with any chemcal reaction, both MASS and CHARGE are CONSERVED.

Can you tell me the conjugate acid of ammonia, NH3? Can you tell me its conjugate base (which does not exist in water)?
