One thing that farmers and homeowners had in common is that the one thing that they had invested a lot of money and time into was dropping in price.
Explanation:
What happened in the Great Depression is that land and houses dropped heavily in value which affected the homeowners. For the farmers the land they owned also dropped in value, but also much of their crops couldn't get enough water because of the Dust Bowl, what they call the drought that occurred.
