Sponge is aquatic, sessile animal, included in phylum Porifera, with diploblastic cellular grade body.
The porous body encloses a hollow spongocoel , which is the watery environment similar to exterior.

Totipotent amoebocyte cells are present in body of sponges, which can give rise to gametes. These cells also allow fragments of sponge's body to regenerate.
