What are some effects of lesions in the cerebral cortex?

Our brain has 4 main parts. The brainstem, the diencephalon, the cerebrum and the cerebellum. The cerebrum makes up the bulk of the brain.
It's surface is called Cerebral Cortex, which is composed of grey matter.
There are two cerebral hemispheres and each hemisphere has 4 lobes Frontal, Parietal, Temporal and Occipital.
These lobes have different functions. So, lesions in different lobes have different effects.

For example, lesions in frontal lobe may result in hemiperesis (weakness of one side of the body) and/ or abnormality in emotions. Because Frontal lobe is associated with muscular movement and emotions.

Abnormal perception of sensory information (touch, pain, temperature) is the effect of parietal lobe lesions as parietal lobe is associated with evaluating sensory information.

Temporal lobe lesion has effect like hearing loss and hallucination. Because this lobe functions in hearing, memory, thoughts and judgement.

Occipital lobe lesion may result in blindness, as this lobe functions in receiving and interpreting of visual input.

Cerebral cortical lesions may also result in Facial nerve paralysis leading to facial deviation. This is commonly seen in Stroke, the most common type of lesion in cerebral cortex.
