They will walk $8 4/7$ minutes befor the battle begins.

In $1$ minute Vikons walk $3/60=1/20$ km

In $1$ minute Mohicas walk $4/60=1/15$ km

In $1$ minute they both walk toward each other $1/20+1/15=7/60$ km

So to cover $1$ km they will take $1/(7/60) = 60/7 or 8 4/7$ minute
