To find the velocity we can derive the function of position (in meter I think) with respect to t:

v(t)=(dp(t))/(dt)=4-[sin(pi/8t)+pi/8tcos(pi/8t)]

Let us now evaluate this at t=7 (seconds, I think):

v(7)=4-[sin(pi/8*7)+pi/8*7cos(pi/8*7)]=6.1m/s
