Please help me with this logarithmic equation. How do I solve it?

Explanation:

$log(x(x+3))=log(x+1)^2$ or

$x(x+3)=(x+1)^2$ or

$x^2+3x=x^2+2x+1$

Solving for $x$ we get

$x = 1$
