Yes it is,

by definition, a (real) linear equation is

#y=P(x) : P(alphax_1+betax_2) = alphaP(x_1)+betaP(x_2), forall alpha, beta in RR#

Here you have #y=0, so P(x)=0#

Notice that

#P(alphax_1+betax_2)=0#
#alphaP(x_1)+betaP(x_2)=alpha*0+beta*0=0#

So it's linear.
