well since this is a determinative its considered a noun except for these and those so it all depends on how you put it in the sentence!
Explanation:
For example if i say
They BOTH ate pizza.
since i put the word "they" im referring to more than one person so itll be considered a plural noun!
Another example
I had BOTH my homework sheets done.
im only referring to me so its a singular noun!
