If the concentration of potassium chloride is low during electrolysis, why is oxygen produced at the anode instead of chlorine?
I don't understand where the oxygen is from, what the solution and electrolyte are. Any help is greatly appreciated

And where the oxygen is coming from, perhaps water is used as a solvent or it is contained in the solution..
