Temperature in celsius is -17.22^oC

Explanation:

If F is the temperature in Fahrenheit and C is temperature in Celsius then

(F-32)/180= (C-0)/100

or (F-32)/9= C/5

Hence if F=1,

C/5=(1-32)/9=-31/9 and

C=((-31)xx5)/9=-155/9=-17.22

In case you want to know how many degrees Celsius temperature will rise or fall for every rise or fall by 1^@ Fahrenheit,

we observe that relation (F-32)/9= C/5 is

C=5/9F-32/9 or F=9/5C+32

So for every rise or fall by 1^@ Fahrenheit, it is 5/9=0.555^@ Celsius and for every rise or fall by 1^@ Celsius, it is 9/5=1.8^@ Fahrenheit.
