Biomass is being used to day to generate electricity and fertiliser.
Explanation:
Biomass, the decomposition of organic matter, in a contained environment where the respiration of microorganisms warms and helps to speed up the process of decomposition, is used in 2 main ways.
As a way to make fertiliser from organic matter, and to generate electricity.
To generate electricity, it would heat water, which would then evaporate and move a turbine which would then in turn, generate electricity, this warming of water can also be used as hot water.
The decomposed contents of the biomass can be used as fertiliser on plants, with the rich, pure, products of decomposed organic matter being great fertiliser, great for speeding up the growth of plants.
