Explanation:
The only transformation of energy that occurs in the atmosphere itself is the absorption (latent heat) and release (sensible heat) of energy by water molecules.
If you are interested in how energy is transferred in the atmosphere that is a whole different question, but I think it may already have been asked and answered.
