How does earth's layers differ from other planets?

Earth is the only planet that supports life. Earth also the only planet that has liquid water on the surface. Earth is the only place where water can be found in all three states. Earth has plate tectonics and an atmosphere that shelters it from the worst of the Sun's rays.
