How do you write x+2 in standard form?

x+2 is already in standard form.

The convention is to gather the highest order terms together first followed by the next highest order, down to any constant term.

For example, 2+6x^2y^2-3x^3 would be written as:

6x^2y^2-3x^3+2

The order of the first term is 2+2 = 4, the next 3 and the order of the constant term is 0.
