You may take the #log_e# or #ln# on both sides.

Explanation:

#lne^3=ln20.08#

Since any power may be placed before the log-function as a multiplication, we get:
#3lne=ln20.08#

And since #lne=1#:
#3=ln20.08#

Which checks out on my calculator (with a bit of rounding, actually #e^3=20.0855...# so #20.09# would have been a better number.
