Well if it is an heteronuclear bond, i.e. the bond is NECESSARILY polar....

Explanation:

We assess the degree of polarity of a homonuclear bond #H-X#, by the difference in electronegativities of the atoms #H# and #X#.. And of course for an homonuclear bimolecule, e.g. #H_2#, #Li_2#, #C_2#, #X_2#, this difference in electronegativity is necessarily ZERO. Anyway look up tables of electronegatvities...
