Here ,

#15/p+p=16#

Multiplying by #p# both sides

#p(15/p+p)=p(16)#

#:.15+p^2=16p#

Adding (-16p) both sides

#15+p^2+(-16p)=16p+(-16p)#

#15+p^2-16p=0#

#p^2-16p+15=0#

Now ,

#(-15)+(-1)=-16 and (-15) xx (-1)=15#

So,

#p^2-15p-p+15=0#

#p(p-15)-1(p-15)=0#

#(p-15)(p-1)=0#

#p-15=0 or p-1=0#

#p=15 or p=1#
