Multiply both numerator and denominator by ab

aba+b=(ab)2ab

In this case, simplifying means rationalizing the denominator, that is getting rid of its square roots.

This can be done by using a well known algebraic identity: x2y2=(x+y)(xy).

In our case, we have to multiply the fraction by (ab):

(ab)(ab)(ab)(a+b) = (ab)2(a)2(b)2 = (ab)2ab
