Change the equation into the y intercept form and use the slope and the y intercept to graph the equation.

$y = mx + b$ is the y intercept form.

Change the existing equation so the y is on the left and x on the right side of the equation.

$x -x -y = y -x -y + 5$ This leaves

$- y = -x + 5$ Multiply both sides by -1
