Problem: Graph #x > y+5#

Get #y# on the left side.

#-y > -x+5#

Multiply both sides by #-1#. This will reverse the inequality.

#y < x-5#

Temporarily change the inequality to an equality. Determine two points on the line.

If #x=0#; #y=-5#
Point #(0,-5)#

If #x=5#; #y=0#
Point #(5,0)#

Graph #y < x-5#.

Plot the points and draw a dashed line through the points to show that the line is not part of the inequality. Then shade in the area below the line.
