having mid-point #M(0,3)#

Then, with #A(5,7) and B(x,y)#, mid-point #M# has to be,

#M((5+x)/2,(7+y)/2)#. But #M=M(0,3)#.

#rArr (5+x)/2=0, (7+y)/2=3#

# rArr x=-5, y=-1#.

Hence, the other end-point is #(-5,-1)#.
