1) Multiply the a and c terms together which in this case is 3 and 4.

3×4=12

2) Find factors of 12 that when added together will get you to the b term, which is 8.

Those two are 2 and 6.

3) Expand and factor with grouping. Closely follow the steps.

x(3x+2) and 2(3x+2)

(x+2)(3x+2)
