How do you explain an eclipse?

1 Answer

When a planetary body covers the other we call it an eclipse.

Explanation:

When the earth comes between the moon and the sun, lunar eclipse happens because the shadow of the earth is formed on the moon.

And,
When the moon comes between the earth and the sun, solar eclipse happens because moon blocks the sun.
