How do you do beta decay equations?

You create an equation as such:

Element #-># Beta Particles + New Element

You must write the atomic mass of the element on the top left of it, and the number of protons on the bottom left. Do this for all the elements in the equation.

To balance, you must ensure that the atomic mass of the elements on the left hand side is equal to the atomic mass on the right hand side. Same for protons.
