# How do you calculate the area if the z score is .99, mean is 0 and standard deviation is 1?

When you using the normal distribution, and you got a mean of $0$ and standard deviation of $1$ you have what is known as the Standard Normal Distribution.

and you will then look for the z-score on your table.
to write out you can say.

$\Phi \left(z\right)$

and to look for the z-score of 0.99, or to say

$\Phi \left(0.99\right) = 0.8389$

which we get from the table.
