If the Sun was at the centre of our galaxy we would be inside a supermassive black hole.
Explanation:
The Sun is in one of the spiral arms of the galaxy. The stars are relatively far apart. Towards the centre of the galaxy the population of stars is large and they are quite close together. We also know that there is a supermassive black hole at the centre of our galaxy.
If the Sun were near the centre of the galaxy there would be a lot more very bright stars in the sky. The centre of the galaxy is located in the constellation Sagittarius and is about 27,000 light years away.
