You're really going to have to define the "cult of domesticity". It's coming out synonymous with "bourgeoisie" Which I think is not quite what you're intending.
Explanation:
The Bourgeoisie was originally epithet for the middle class by the Proletariat. At the time the middle class particularly in France held the means of production and social standing over the working class.
I think you are referring to something a little different which needs to be more clearly stated. Please try not to be Misogynistic, it would be so dull if you were.
