How can we take pictures of other galaxies?

The light from far way galaxies is very faint.So we have to use very large telescopes and expose for long time to get enough photons to have clear picture.The earth moves so we have to use telescopes with drive whci compensate earth's motion.
Explanation:
As we have telescopes in space like Hubble it can take better pictures it works above earth's atmosphere free from atmospherics disturbances...
