When a division is written in the form of a fraction, divisor becomes denominator, while dividend or remainder is numerator.

Explanation:

I refer to another question asked today itself which is available here.

In this one has to divide 22690 by 757 and while 22690 is dividend, 757 is divisor.

The division process leads to 29 as quotient and 737 as remainder.

However, when we write the same as improper fraction 22690/757, which from division process we know is equivalent to 29 737/757,

in this form i.e. when a division is written in the form of a fraction, divisor becomes denominator, while dividend or remainder is the numerator.
