Members of the group hominids consist of all modern and extinct humans and great apes.
Explanation:
This taxonomic family of primates includes eight extant species in four genera :
1) Pongo, Bornean, Sumatran, and Tapanuli orangutan
2) PAN- the common Chimpanzee and the Bonobo
3) Gorilla - the western and eastern gorillas
4) Homo - includes modern humans and its extinct relatives and ancestors.
The original meaning of the term referred to only humans and their closest relatives. However the modern usage of hominids today includes ll the great apes including humans.
