As the object goes through south, he overcame (4×2)=8m
Hence,its net displacement is (8-3)=5m by south.
Its average speed is (distance covered/time)=(8+3)/(3+4)=1.57ms^-1
and average velocity is(displacement/time) =5/(3+4)=0.71ms^-1
