y=2x-6

Explanation:

Equation of a line which has a as x-intercept and b as y-intercept is

x/a+y/b=1

Hence equation of line which has 3 as x-intercept and -6 as y-intercept is

x/3+y/(-6)=1

or 2x-y=6

i.e. y=2x-6, which is in slope intercept form.
