I Personally like to use algebra here. So we have this:

#1.15 = 92000#

(because the value has to decrease our value have to be more then 1 otherwise it would get bigger and there for it's 1.15)

Now just divide 1.15 on both sides to get the original amount.

#1.15/1.15=92000/1.15#

#92000/1.15 = 80000#

so £80000
