Mean absolute deviation =1.04=1.04

Explanation:

1) Find the average of you data:

(8+7+4+6+6)/5=31/5=6.28+7+4+6+65=315=6.2

2) Find the distances between each of the numbers in your data set and the mean (ignore negative signs).

8-6.2=1.886.2=1.8
7-6.2=0.876.2=0.8
4-6.2=-2.2=2.246.2=2.2=2.2
6-6.2=-0.2=0.266.2=0.2=0.2
6-6.2=-0.2=0.266.2=0.2=0.2

3) Find the average of all of these distances:
(1.8+0.8+2.2+0.2+0.2)/5=5.2/5=1.041.8+0.8+2.2+0.2+0.25=5.25=1.04

therefore Mean absolute deviation =1.04

Hope it helps :)
