$1/v-1/u=1/f$
Here , $f$ is taken Positive for a Convex Lens
and is Negative for a Concave Lens

According to lens formula:-

$1/v-1/u=1/f$

Where:-

$v$ is the image distance from the lens

$u$ is the object distance from the lens

$f$ is the Focal length of the lens

NOTE:-

All the distances are measured from the Optical Center.
Distance measured in the direction of incident light ray is taken as Positive and vice- versa .

$v$ is taken as Positive

$f$ is taken as Positive
