We divide the "molar mass" by "Avogadro's number........."

Explanation:

And thus "atomic mass" = "Molar mass"/"Avogadro's number"

=(20*g*mol^-1)/N_A=(20*g*cancel(mol^-1))/(6.022xx10^23*cancel(mol^-1))

=3.32xx10^-23*g.................

Note the dimensional consistency of the quotient; i.e. we wanted an answer with units of mass, and we got one......
