Explanation:

Your body needs 60 mg of vitamin c daily so that amount is 100% of your daily requirement.

Half of the daily requirement would be 50% of the 60mg

If you were to double the daily amount required you would have twice as much or 200% of what you need.

So if you add up the amount of vitamin c in the capsule you would have:

50% of 60mg = 1/2 (or half of) 60mg= 30mg PLUS
200% of 60mg = 2 (or twice) 60mg = 120mg

For a total of 30mg + 120mg = 150mg

And this is the same as two and a half times the daily amount, or:

2.5 xx 60mg = 150mg

Note that the excess vitamin c will simply be flushed out of your body, so you may be able to find a less expensive dose in another capsule.
