In fractional format the ratio is:

#("girls")/("total")->g/(g+b)=32/(32+40)=32/72#

#=(32-:2)/(72-:2) = (16-:2)/(36-:2)=(8-:2)/(18-:2)=4/9#

In what I call clock form the ratio is
